SPRINT: 5 Objectives • To increase the regional capacity of key stakeholders >> Trainings of Trainers - 5-day ToTs on MISP: East-SE Asia, Aus-NZ, Pacific Islands - MISP echo trainings by master trainers in their respective countries - Translation of MISP DL Module into at least Bahasa Indonesian, Vietnamese (+/- Chinese) – Link with Women’s Commission webpage to offer electronic updates to trainees - Annual SPRINT stakeholder and review meeting 2. To strengthen the coordination of SRH responses in crisis situations>> SPRINT Secretariat From choice, a world of possibilities 6

To raise awareness on SRH in crisis at national & regional level - University of New South Wales: Action research, M&E - Australian RH Alliance: Advocacy & Work with parliamentarians 4. To respond in a timely fashion to SRH needs in crisis situations 5. To enhance access to SRH information and services for populations surviving and living in protracted post-crisis situations From choice, a world of possibilities 7

  8. Expected outcomes 1. Increased regional capacity of key stakeholders to respond to crisis and post-crisis situations 2. Coordinated emergency and post-emergency responses in SRH (at least 6 emergency and 3 post-emergency sites) 3. Integration of SRH into regional and national emergency response agenda 4. Availability of access to SRH information and services for concerned populations From choice, a world of possibilities 8

What’s innovative about the SPRINT? • First regional initiative to address SRH in crisis, country by country • Action research and M&E: building evidence on SRH in crisis • Advocacy & involvement of Parliamentarian groups • National and regional emergency relief agencies (government + NGOs) integrate SRH into their aid responses • IPPF will expand its development agenda to embrace emergency relief in SRH • Bridging the gap between immediate relief and development by the grassroots presence and early involvement of IPPF Member Associations in emergency responses => continuum between emergency and development From choice, a world of possibilities 9
