  1. WELCOME PRESENTED BY SUKHILA .K

  2. INTRODUCTION TO NANO ROBOTICS It deals with the controlled manipulation of objects with nanometer scale dimension. Nano manipulation is most effective process. It is concerned with construction and programming of robots with over all dimensions at the nanoscale.

  3. NANO TECHNOLOGY • A Basic Definition:- • Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale. This covers both current work and concepts that are more advanced. • Nanometeris one billionth of a meter(3-4 atoms wide)

  4. ROBOTS AND ROBOTICS • ROBOT • Robots are programmable machines. • They range from small miniature machines to large Gane size constructions. • ROBOTICS • Robotics is the use of technology to design and manufactured machines, build for specific purposes, programmed to perform specific task.

  5. Nano robot • Nano robot is a specialized nano machine. • It has dimensions on the order of nanometer. • Typically 0.5 to 3 microns large with 1-100 nm parts. • The possibility of nano robots was 1st proposed by Richard Fag man in his talk “there’s plenty of room at the Bottom” in 1959. • NANO ROBOTICS • It concerned with atomic & molecular sized objects & is also called molecular robotics. • Nano robotics research has proceeded along 2 lines. • 1st is devoted to simulation with nano scale dimensions. • 2nd involves manipulation with microscope instruments.

  6. APPLICATION • i. In Medical Area • Arteriosclerosis • Kidney stones • Burn and wound de briding • Blood clots • ii. In Space- Ship

  7. Arteriosclerosis This is caused by fatty deposits on the walls of arteries The device should be able to remove these deposits from the artery walls.

  8. KIDNEYSTONE • Nanorobots might carry small ultrasonic signal generates to deliver frequencies directly to kidney stones

  9. KIDNEY STONE

  10. Burn & wound de briding :- The nano robots can also be to clear wounds and burns. Blood clots :- By using a nano robot in the body to break up such clots in to smaller pieces before they have a chance to break free and move on their own. In space ship :- Nano robots could improve the performance of space ships, space suits & equipment used to explore planets & moon.

  11. NANO ROBOT NAVIGATION • Every living things needs area to move. • Nano robots use blood flow for its movement. • Speed of blood • Get through the heart with out stack. • React with changes in blood flows rate • Able to change the direction according to the blood stream. • To satisfy this, nano robots should made with electric motors to turn propeller

  12. POWERING OF NANO ROBOT • Powering of nano robot can be done by metabolizing local glucose and oxygen for energy. In a clinical environment another option would be externally supplied acoustic energy. • Other sources of energy with in the body can also be used to supply the necessary energy for the devices.

  13. NANO ROBOT LOCOMOTION • Designers some times hook at microscope organism for population instruction, like the nanorobotflagellum on this e-coli cell

  14. NANO ROBOTS TODAY AND TOMORROW In Industry & Manufacturing In super computer In brain augmentation To improve health care

  15. IN INDUSTRY & MANUFACTURING :- • To replace heavy machinery with nanodevices. • To replace employees with many nanorobots • To replace petroleum with whalloil. • It is also called nanocomputer. • Nanotubes and nanowires. • It includes • Billistic Sensor Disc • Spintronics • Smart Dust In Super Computer :-

  16. IN BRAIN AUGMENTATION :- • To replace dead cell with new cells • Brain surgery will easy and simple. • To detection & treatment of cancer • We will use the cancer vaccine TO IMPROVE HEALTH CARE :-

  17. ADVANTAGES The process is very fast Since the scale of operation is very small, the results are very accurate. The process is less painful unlike angioplasty The process is technologically very advanced & reliable. The chance of any after effects or recurrences are completely eliminated.

  18. DISADVANTAGE It may be very costly The technology may take several years to be implemented practically. The technology may lead to further technological problems like the introduction of artificial reconstruction and artificial intelligence which will result in the robots going out of control of humans.

  19. CONCLUSION All of the current developments in technology directs human a step closer to nanorobotsproduction How ever finally we wish all the best for all scientists, who are going to implement the nanorobotsin future.
