  1. LOGIN TO CVS • Enter IP address of host • Select “SSH” • Click “OPEN”

  2. A new console will open with “bash” prompt • Login as: < username > • <username>@<host address>’s password: • [<username>@localhost <username>] $

  3. Environment variable setting • Current setting • CVS –d/home/<username>/repository <command>

  4. Temporary change • CVSROOT=/home/<username> /repository ; export CVSROOT

  5. Permanent change • goto /home/<username> • Edit “.bash_profile” • Add CVSROOT=/home/<username>/repository Export CVSROOT • Restart the session.
