Policing and Investigation in the School of Social Science and Law • Team of academic and administrative staff Deliver programmes in partnership with, or on behalf of, the police and wider investigative family • Awards range from certificated courses and Foundation Degree’s to a BSc (Hons) Degree • Partners include Cleveland Police, West Mercia Police, MOD Police, PD Ports Police and the Defence College of Policing and Guarding

  4. Teesside University and DCPG • Initial Involvement • Hard copy flyers and talking to people • pan-MOD Directive • 3 year plan (2008-2010) • Accreditation of tri-Service Courses • Providing support to delivery: • Research materials • IT Infrastructure • Training Optimisation • Consumables

  5. Initial Framework • Partnership formally commenced 01/01/2008 • Four courses accredited by SSSL: QCF levels 4 & 5 • One course accredited by SSE: QCF level 5 • Work based studies students passed to TUBS PGCLTHE currently being delivered • Enrolled learners to date: 1000

  6. Strategic Development Fund Grants • 2009: Accreditation of the RAF Police Officers programme • 2010: Staff deployment to the Defence College of Policing and Guarding for two days a week
