COORDINATIVE BODY FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY - Establishing – 24.04.2007 composed of the representatives from Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Culture, State Market Inspectorate, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Information Society, Customs Administration, Ministry of Justice, State Office of Industrial Property, Public Revenue Office and the Secretariat for European Integrations.

COPMETENCIES-CBIP coordinated approach in the protection of the rights in the market undertakes activities directed to creation of appropriate intellectual property rights protection policy propose measures for the further improvement of the system of enforcement of the IP rights direct participation in coordination actions as determined in the monthly Action Plan

  4. ACTIVITIES OF CBIP continually reports to the Government results presented through public media and at the SOIP web- site www.ippo.gov.mk

STATISTICS • until 26.04.07 to 30.04.12 - realized actions under 816 subjects - seized 271.711 pirated - seized 370 computers which were used for producing pirate CD`s and DVD`s and 595 computers on which unlicensed software was installed - 43 machines - submitted 367 applications for initiating misdemeanour procedure, 272 criminal procedures and 64 stores are closed.

  8. DESTROING - 24 April and 12 December-final court decision is in force - 10 actions (until today)‏ - destroyed - 516.784 pirated and counterfeited goods - 67.693 boxes of cigarettes - 57.571 l of alcohol - 175 kg of tobacco - 12.160 tablets and creams - 60 cigars

FUTURE PLANS Implementation of Operative Program for fight against piracy and counterfeiting Extension of the actions for prevention of sources for production of counterfeiting products Conditions, locations and unification of the procedure for destruction of the seized items. Projects for raising public awareness
