This paper, presented at the HDF and HDF-EOS Workshop XIV, explores a unified data model for information retrieval, visualization, and analysis, particularly focusing on how HDF5 can serve as a powerful data management platform for battlefield operations. The study demonstrates the use of web-based tools alongside HDF5 to organize various operational data, including physical and human terrain. We showcase capabilities of HDF5 to store diverse data types and manage them efficiently across multiple scales, enhancing decision-making in complex scenarios.
