In 1932, Jankel Kuperblum (Jack Kuper) was born in Poland, living happily until the age of 9 when Hitler’s Nazis changed his life forever. With his mother captured and taken to a concentration camp, Jack was taken in by Mrs. Paizak, who provided refuge under a new identity. His father escaped to Russia but was ultimately captured and killed. A pivotal moment came in 1948 when Jack immigrated to Canada, pursuing a career in arts and broadcasting. He became a successful graphic designer, playwright, and filmmaker. His inspiring story, "Child of the Holocaust," reflects resilience and hope amidst tragedy.

JACK KUPER Child of The HolocaustBy: Adam weber
In Poland in the year of 1932 a boy named JankelKuperblum { Jack Kuper } was born. • He lived a happy life until he was 9 years old. A terrible man from another country changed his life forever. The man was…..
ADOLF HITLER • Adolf Hitler conquered many other countries such as Italy, Greece, or Denmark. Leading his troops known as nazis hunting down Jews, mentally challenged, and the gays.
If he caught any of the Jews, mentally challenged, or gays they would be taken away by the nazis to these camps called Concentration Camps and would be slaughtered.
Jack was Jewish too. And one day he was coming home and found out that his mother was captured and taken away to a concentration camp.
His mothers best friend named Mrs. Paizak saw his mother being taken away and was gracious enough to take care of him and take Jack as her own. • He was made to change his identity by changing his name to Kubush.
The man was his father. His father escaped to Russia when Hitler took over Poland. • Many months later while Jack was still living with Mrs. Paizak a visitor with a strange accent came to stay with them for the night. Jack thought it was a German. But he was wrong.
A year went by and one day he was almost captured by a nazi to be taken to a concentration camp. But luckily recently he has changed his religion to Christian than Jewish.
Later in time his father was captured by the nazis and was taken to a concentration camp and was killed.
IN THE YEAR OF 1948 SOMETHING WAS OFFERED TO HIM SO INCREDIBLE IT CHANGED HIS WHOLE ADULT LIFE FOREVER….
He immigrated to Canada for a college for 4 years learning the arts of Canadian Broadcasting.
Career in Canada • After the 4 years of college he became a graphic designer for Canada. • He also made a play called “Sun in my Eyes” and eventually performed in the United States and became a huge success.
