Meet Silvana Suarez: Aspiring Industrial Engineer and Dedicated Peer Mentor

Hello! My name is Silvana Suarez, a 19-year-old from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. As the youngest of four siblings, I cherish the time spent with my family and friends, although I greatly miss them while studying at the University of Arizona. I will soon be a sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering. My passions include playing volleyball, listening to music, and being around others. As a peer mentor, I am committed to ensuring freshmen engineers have a smooth transition and a rewarding experience at U of A, ready to provide guidance and support whenever needed.

  1. Silvana Suarez Hi! My name is Silvana Suarez and I am from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I am 19 years old and I am the youngest of four siblings; I have two brothers and one sister. I will be a sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering this coming fall here at the U of A. I love to spend time with my family and friends. My family is what I really miss from my home country, but I am enjoying my time at the U of A. I like to play volleyball, listen to music, and be around people. As a peer mentor, I want to help the freshmen engineers to have a great transition and experience here at the U of A. I would like to be a useful source for them as my mentor was for me. I will always be available for my mentees to help them succeed in both their academic and extra curricular activities.
