  4. Theorem 10-11:“Area of a Circle” • The area of a circle is the product of pi and the square of the radius.

  8. Sector of a Circle • A sector of a circle is a region bound by an arc of the circle and two radii to the arc’s endpoints.

  9. Theorem 10-12:“Area of a Sector of a Circle” • The area of a sector of a circle is the product of the ratio of the measure of the arc and 360 times the area of the circle.

  11. Segment of a Circle • A part of a circle bound by an arc and the segment joining its endpoints is a segment of a circle.

  12. A B 10 Area of a Segment • To find the area of a segment we have to find the area of a sector and subtract the area of a triangle.
