Lesson 1 New Vocabulary :the state of beingfit in body . Fitness: e.g. Doing exercises to improve their fitness. Diet:the sort of food and drink usually taken( by a person or group). OR..A limited list of food and drink that one is allowed. e.g. I mustn’t have chocolate I’m on diet. e.g. The doctor ordered him to go on a diet to lose weight .
New Vocabulary:- • Quantity (amount) : a measurable property of something. • e.g. The food was enough in quantity. • -Put on weight # lose weight. • - Energy: the quality of being full of life and action. • -Dessert=sweet food. • Take exercise. =do exercise. • -Health (n) : the state of being well, with out disease • e.g. Health is more important to me than money. • (#) sickness.-Healthy (adj.) : to be fit, or strong, not often ill. • e.g. We need a healthy diet to give us the right quantities of energy
e.g. How much food and energy we need to be healthy ? (Answer)..> The quantity of food that we eat should be the same as the energy which our bodies use .

Notice the following: Interrogative :How many+ countable nouns e.g. How many vegetables have you been eating each day? -How much+ uncountable nouns e.g. How much fruit have you been eating each day Notice:- Subject + have or has + been +v- ing +object +too (much/many) +recently e.g. a) I have been using the computer too much recently. b) She has been eating too many sweets recently
Notice:- • too much - uncountable nouns. • - Too many countable nouns. • e.g. Hesham has been drinking too much tea. • e.g. Salma has many sweets been eating too
Notice : *Much # a little ---> uncountable nouns *Many # a few -- countable nouns
e.g. I think Soha should take more exercise and watch less TV. • e.g. I think Mona shoulddrink fewer sweet drinks and have more water. • e.g. I think Nadia should go for more walks and take fewer taxis.
