  2. Finishing the novel: Read & Discuss pages 99-109 of Night…WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE OF YOU AS WE READ…?

  3. …Do not talk…begin writing in your scrapbook:What are your 1st reactions?What do you have to say to this novel? What is happening inside of you?

In the next to last sentence in the book, Elie says that when he looked in a mirror after liberation (1 year since he lived in the ghetto), he saw “a corpse” gazing back at him.He ends the book by stating, “The look in his eyes, as they stared into mine, has never left me.”Take a moment and reflect about what he means. What do you see of yourself when you look in the mirror? Who are you?
