  3. Law of enforcement • It is the primary functions of police. • Police plays an active role in implementing & enforcing the laws . • Force is usually involved in this field.

  4. Implication1 • Physical strengthens • Brave & upright • Familiarity with laws Eg. The peace maintenance of UN • Judge objectively (esp. discrimination on ethnic groups ) • Respect the rights of suspects

  7. Lectures and activities • Lectures on how to avoid being a victim (youngsters, senior citizens) • Forums with the locals------ Police Open Day; Voluntary Police • Neighborhood Watch Scheme

Its police function mainly focuses on the second function-----provides a services to the community.(p130) • China pay more attention on crash the gangs of burglary & robbery. The first function----law enforcement is most important.

  13. Reforms in China police system • people-oriented • Provide helps among the community. • Concern more about the social activities. • Control the crimes in a democratic way

  14. Changes in Britain • Since the 9-11 in America, Britain has strengthened its military forces. • The bombing in Lodon draws the attentions of the press. The number of the plain policemen is increased.
