3. Facial Dimple Creations Your face is important. It is the most immediate outlet for your emotions, expressing thoughts and reactions that are beyond words. It is usually the first thing others notice about you, profoundly influencing both how they perceive you and how you perceive yourself. Many people are generally pleased with their face, but for those who are not, their face can be the source of frustration and self-consciousness. Dimples on cheeks are considered cute to many people. The demand for surgically created dimples is increasing. In general, this is a safe and effective surgery and is done under local anesthesia as a day care procedure. Results are permanent. Under local anesthesia, a small depression is created in the muscle cheek region. This is done through the inside of the mouth without external scars. The depression might be permanent for two to three months after the surgery. You will have numbness in the cheek area for approximately one to two hours. You should rinse your mouth with lukewarm water after any meals and brush your teeth gently each time. You may use ice over the cheek area for the first 24 hours. You may experience some bruising and swelling which will resolve over the course of several days.

Human-Based Collagen Lip Augmentation During the lip augmentation procedure using human-based collagen, Dr Hart may inject a manufactured human-based collagen filler such as Cosmoderm, Cosmoplast, Cymetra, Autologen, or Fascian to fill the lip area. Human-based collagen fillers are biocompatible and offer results that may last for four or more months. It is important to note that the lip area is typically overfilled initially, because up to 40% of the collagen dissipates within a short period of time. Furthermore, as collagen treatments continue over time, more and more of the collagen remains and creates a greater opportunity for increased longevity, in some cases lasting a lifetime. Hyaluronic Acid-Derived Lip Augmentation During the lip augmentation procedure using hyaluronic acid, Dr.Hart will inject a hyaluronic acid solution to fill the lip area. Hyaluronic acid is a safe, clear gel composed of a naturally occurring polysaccharide (a carbohydrate) that exists in human tissues and skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are said to offer longer lasting results than collagen-based fillers. Brand names of these fillers include Restylane, Perlane, Dermalive, Juvederm, and Hylaform.
