Industry expects greater quality and safety each year with fewer accidents and fewer injuries caused by poor quality • Industry views a more stringent quality management system as a benchmark • Industry’s opinion of ISO 9001 certification has changed – it can not meet requirements for Manufacturersin oil and gas industry • API Spec Q1 is considered to be a minimum qualification for suppliers in the oil and gas industry Why need API Spec Q1?
