What is Vision “20-20” • The Town of Rainy River is moving into the future with its Vision “20-20” • Vision “20-20” is a play on words. 20-20 is good vision! 20-20 is a year in our future! • We are now setting year-by-year steps to accomplish our goals. We want to establish a timeline from today to the year 2020 that is achievable, do-able and measurable.

  3. Vision “20-20” • We will set goals for each area of our Strategic Plan i.e.: • Population • Infrastructure • Promotion • Tourism • Economic Development • Recreation • If we set achievable steps for each year from now to 2020 • “We Can Do It”

  5. Birding in Rainy RiverVision Plan Observation • One of the resources that we have in our area is “birding”. (See research re: Rainy River Flyway) • How can we as a community utilize this resource, promoting our commerce, as well as preserving our environment? • What do we want this to look like in 10 to 15 years? • What are the stages we need to implement to reach our vision?

(i.e. street names, bird-house home numbers…) • Infrastructure developed to meet vision requirement
