Perang Johor - Jambi. Puncanya : Jambi menyaingi Johor dalam aktiviti perdagangan Jambi muncul sebagai kuasa politik dan ekonomi baru di Selat Melaka Jambi mahu bebas daripada Johor. Perang meletus. 1670 ,Jambi meminta bantuan Melaka. 1973, Jambi menyerang Batu Sawar dan Johor Lama.

  2. Perang meletus • 1670 ,Jambi meminta bantuan Melaka. • 1973, Jambi menyerang Batu Sawar dan Johor Lama. • 1677, Sultan Johor berundur ke Pahang. ( Sultan Abdul Jalil Riayat Shah III)

  3. Kesan • Jambi tewas pada tahun 1679 • Johor mendapat bantuan orang Bugis. • Laksamana Tun Abdul Jamil pulihkan semula Johor. • Dianugerahkan gelaran Paduka Raja sebagai mengenang jasa. • Amat berkuasa sehinggakan anaknya mewarisi jawatan Temenggung,Sri Bija Diraja dan Sri Amar Diraja.
