Enhancing Environmental Awareness Through Bird Observation: A Comenius Partnership Project

This Comenius bilateral school partnership (2013-2015) aimed to enhance students' ability to observe and understand their environment, particularly through the study of birds. Objectives included fostering collaboration among students, increasing knowledge about bird species and their habitats, promoting environmental awareness, and encouraging intercultural dialogue. Teachers exchanged pedagogical approaches, while families and the community were actively involved in project activities. The initiative successfully developed students’ ICT skills and engaged them in meaningful ecological discussions.

Objectives • to raise the ability of students to observe what is happening around them • to let the students have the skills of working together • to have more information about bird species, bird life, bird migration, nesting places • to raise the student's Environmental Awareness • to enable students and teachers to create an intercultural dialogue promote awareness and respect towards economic, social, cultural, ethnical, environmental differences, traditions and customs • to improve student's ICT tools • to let teachers to exchanges pedagogical approaches • to involve the family and the community in the project activities,
