Mixed Reality Lab Aim: The Mixed Reality Lab, at the National University of Singapore, is aiming to push the boundaries of research into interactive new media technologies through the combination of technology, art, and creativity. Key objectives: 1. Create a world center of excellence for interactive media and entertainment technology 2. Provide multi-disciplinary project-based learning environment for student 3. Transition creative media technology to promote economic development of Singapore 4. Open new doors for creativity and the arts Research Issues 1. Merge real world and virtual world as seamless as possible using ubiquitous media Interaction of natural physical space with virtual world Projects 3D Live, Human Pacman, Poultry Internet, Age Invaders, Metazoa Ludens History Success Local & International Award; conference & Journal paper; Local & International Exhibition & Demo at major media technology-art centers.
