  8. Vocabulary • Scatter Plot • Correlation • Positive Correlation A graph with points plotted to show a possible relationship between 2 sets of data. Description of a relationship between 2 data sets. On a scatter plot both sets of data increase

  9. Vocabulary • Negative Correlation • No Correlation • Trend Line On a scatter plot 1 set of data increases while the other set decreases. On a scatter plot there is no relationship between the data sets. A straight line on a scatter plot showing a relationship in the data.

  15. 4.5 Problem Solving WS Fawn is trying to improve her reading skills by taking a speed reading class. She is measuring how many words per minute (wpm_ she can read after each week of class. Graph the scatter plot using the given data. Describe the correlation. Draw a trend line and use it to predict the number of words per minute that Fawn will read after 8 weeks of this class.
