  7. Homework assignments will be recorded in student planners. Please check daily for these assignments. If incomplete or left at home, student receives a mark in his/her expectation folder. Homework may count up to 10% of the six weeks grade. Third Grade Guidelines Homework Policy

  8. Third Grade Guidelines Late Work Policy • Each day, 10 points deducted • On the fourth day of incomplete class work, a zero will be given if work is still unfinished

  13. Take Home Readers • Take home readers are sent home as homework due on Friday. • Your signature is required to show that you have read the book with your child. • Each day’s homework builds a certain skill. • On Friday, the students will take an open book quiz for comprehension.

Third Grade Helpful Hints Things you can to do help your 3rd grader include: • Designate a set bedtime. • Start each day with a healthy breakfast. • Don’t forget we now serve breakfast at Fielder! • Establish a homework routine. Teach your child to check backpacks & binders before bedtime. Make this your child’s responsibility. • Hold your child accountable as they learn responsibility & independence.

  26. M.A.D. Lab M.A.D.= Moms and Dad Who? Moms, Dad, Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles What? Volunteers to run a small group of kids though an interactive and hands-on science activity!! When? Fridays (once every 6 weeks) for 30-45 minutes Where? The Fielder Science Lab Why? To increase our students understanding of science and because kids learn best by “doing” NO SCIENCE EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! 
