OBSERVATIONS AND CONCERNS Pupils need to be more focused and made more aware of the importance of PSLE.Pupils need to reduce the time spent on on-line games, social network etc. (based on journal entries and feedback from pupils).Pupils should be reminded to head home straight after school and not to loiter around the school and neighbourhood .

  12. OBSERVATIONS AND CONCERNS Parental support is needed to ensure that time is set aside daily for pupils to complete their work and study. Revision has to start now. Pupils need to work consistently from the start and not weeks before the prelim or PSLE examinations. This is necessary as there is a need to revise topics learnt from Primary 3 to 5, especially for Mathematics and Science.

  13. BASIC TIPS Spend at least 1 hour daily after completion of homework to study and 2 hours every weekend. Plan a timetable and include all topics that need to be covered. Read widely.

Assessment objectives @P6 Standard & Foundation • Paper 1: Writing 1 h 10 min -write a narrative composition as well as a functional text based on a given situation • Paper 2: Language Use & Comprehension 1 h 50 min – a test on the ability to use language correctly and to comprehend graphic & textual information • Paper 3: Listening Comprehension ~ 35 min – a test on the ability to understand spoken English • Paper 4: Oral Communication 10 to 12 min – a test on the ability to read fluently; interpret a given picture using correct grammar and vocabulary; engage in a conversation on a given topic English Language

  49. OBSERVATIONS AND CONCERNS Students have not settled down to study for PSLE yet. They are not aware of the importance of PSLE.They spend quite a substantial amount of time on on-line games. (based on journal entries and feedback from pupils).Some pupils loiter around the school and neighbourhood after school in school uniforms.
