General Comments • NFHS Rules/Play Rulings are more specific and leave less room for opinion or flexibility. • “Administrative” rules dictate procedures that emphasize uniformity, participation, sportsmanship • Pre-game with head coaches/captains are mandatory • Functions of venue administrator (UIL, not NFHS) • Few real differences in playing rules - Examples • Sportsmanship – discipline/cooling off for Cautions • Participation – Additional Substitution Opportunities • Time Keeping and Wasting – Throw In that does not enter the field TASO TARRANT SOCCER
