  2. Arab Arts Festival, Liverpool • 7th-16th June 2013 – throughout the city • Bringing talented artists from across the Arab world – from photography to music, theatre to film – to the city. This year, LAAF focuses on the question of identity, the many faces of Arabs today.

  3. Africa Oye, Sefton Park, Liverpool • 22nd-23rd June 2013 • The largest free African music event in the UK will this year feature Mokoomba, ZongZing All Stars and AtongoZimba. It will also feature African crafts, clothes and food for sale over the two-day event.

  4. Mersey River Festival • 7th-9th June – Pier Head, Liverpool • The return of the Mersey River Festival with tall ships, historic vessels, street theatre and shanty music.

  5. Music On The Waterfront • 7th-9th June 2013 – the waterfront • Welcome return of the live Music on the Waterfront weekend, with Smooth Radio concerts on the outdoor stage in front of the Royal Liver Building.

  6. Liverpool International Tennis Tournament • 20th-23rd June – Calderstones Park, Liverpool • The 12th Liverpool International tennis Tournament takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Calderstones Park. The International has attracted many current and former number one players, making it the biggest exhibition tournament in Europe.
