What is Classroom Management? • Broad Definition = “Organizing” the classroom in such a way to preventdiscipline problems and maximize student learning • Notice here that in the definition, the focus is on PREVENTION - what teachers can do to avoid problems and maximize learning. We will discuss in a later class ways to REMEDIATE problems that already exist.

Things to look for in the video: • What is the Relationship between RESPECT and having LOW BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS? • What is the relationship among 1) Rapport 2) Disclipline and 3) Learning? • What is a way(s) to make sure students don’t get bored or lost interest?
