SCOPE NIF BB NCAT CR The NCOIC Tools work together to assist in achieving interoperable systems

  3. NCOIC Modeling & Simulation Activities • Documenting emerging standards for Modeling & Simulation • Using interoperability demonstrations to evaluate standards • Will produce a set of recommended standards based on testing • Encouraging open sourcing of packages for Modeling & Simulation • Survey of member R & D Labs for participation in testing demos • Customers have requested help in integrating Battle Labs

  4. Modeling, Simulation and Demonstration Solutions to Interoperability Challenges • Systems of systems development presents major challenges to interoperability due to the diverse nature of the multiple systems • The NCOIC Modeling, Simulation and Demonstration Working Group has proposed a testbed combining Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Systems • To implement this testbed, we have surveyed a set of packages with the proven capability to integrate systems using services • These packages can be the basis of future implementations and interoperability demonstrations in specific domains • We are interested in collaborating with industry and government to create demonstrations based on domain-specific scenarios.

  7. NCOIC Demonstrations • All demonstrations are based on open software packages that have been deployed and could be available for NCOIC demos • It is possible to build implement domain specific scenarios on top of these packages. We are looking for potential collaborators. • Foundation Information Grid – The Storage Resource Broker from UCSD provides global read and write access to large-scale distributed data through multiple interfaces • C2 Information Sharing for SOA – C2 data exchange between distributed centers based on standard data models and the Battle Management Language (BML) enabling web servicesfrom VMASC • Joint MEASURE – Open source library of interoperable, composable C2 models for simulations based on a standard framework used in test and evaluation by Lockheed-Martin. • All slides are from the developers of the software packages.
