Acute monocytic leukemia (AMoL : FAB-M5). ถ้าดูในไขกระดูก 80 % หรือมากกว่าเป็นพวก non – erythroid ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มของ Monoblast, promonocyte และ monocyte ภาวะของ AMoL หรือ M5 นี้จะแบ่งได้สองแบบ คือ ก) M5a เซลล์โดยมากจะเป็น monoblast
