PREP Exercise Statistics • Sprague Energy Corp volunteered to be responsible party • Scenario: discharge of 6,000 barrels (252,000 U.S. gallons) of liquid asphalt into the Piscataqua River (currents of 6 kts) • Response involved: federal, state, local, industry, and academia (UNH) -total of 82 participants • Initial response included: deployment of boom and skimmers utilizing high current booming strategies
