Pervomayskiy district The district is situated on the north-west of Mykolayiv region Territory: 1,3 sg.m or 5,7% from the region territory Boundary: The regionborders with Kirovograd region, on the east with Arbuzynskiy district, on the south with Domanivskiy and Vradiyivskiy districts, on the west with Krivoozerskiy district. The number of populated areas – 50 (1 urban village, 6 countries, 43 villages) Population: 31,800 people. (including 15,200 people capacity for work (51,3 %)

  3. Regional national resources Water resources: Rivers: the Southern Bug, the Synyukha, the Kodyma, the Black Tashlyk. Inner waters, lakes, water reservoirs have the area of 1562, 3510. 110 reservoirs of total area – 537, 6832. Forestry: the forest area of the region is 6903, 1238. Agricultural area: 113,7 sq.m, including the area of arable – 98, 6 sq.m Minerals:Crystalline rocks ( granite and magnet), sand, granite, loam, kaolin.

  4. There are created and operated: 120 stores; 35 objects of public catering; 28 objects of living in rural areas; 9 branches of Savings Bank of Ukraine. 4 railway stations: station K. Mist, urban village Pidgorodna, station Bandurka, Kinetspil which ensure the movement of trains on the following routes: Odessa -Moskwa, Odessa – Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa – Kharkiv etc A passenger transportation between all the settlements of the region is well developed. The total length of roads in Pervomaysk region - 428, 3 km, paved roads – 418, 3 km, local roads– 395, 1 km, the road of national importance – 33, 2 km. There are car roads of state importance in the region: Ulyanivka – Mykolayiv – M-23 and Poltava – Kyshchyniv. Waterways connect the region and Mykolayiv city by means of the Southern Bug. Infrastructure and transport communications The region gasified 9 of 50 settlements (18,0%) Water: centralized economic-potable water supply – 30 units, the length of water pipe network – 137506 m., wells – 24 units, well mine – 6 units, well mine general use – 3603 units, Tower Rozhnovskoho – 50 units.

  5. Education The region has 28 secondary educational establishments for 3218 pupils and 29 pre-school educational centers for 628 pupils. Medical Care Medical treatment in the region is provided with hospital, 9 dispensaries and 33 pharmacies. Culture : The net of cultural centers: 3 art schools for children; 33 village libraries; 39 village clubs; Entertainment centre for youth; Social and cultural spheres

  6. Tourism Regional landscape park ‘‘Granite-steppe Pobuzhya’’, which is considered to be one of the seventh Ukrainian miracles, huge tracts of forest ‘‘Vradiyivskiy park’’, tourist centre ‘‘Dubrovka’’, water attractions etc. are located on the territory of Pervomaysk region.

  7. Museum of rocket army The museum of rocket strategic army presents fighting starting position of launcher, command post launch rockets, ground equipment, and various auxiliaries.

Industry In the region the industry is represented by the following industry sectors: Extractive industry – mining of granite and sand; Processing industry (food and beverages); Production of other nonmetallic mineral products During January-June 2010 the volume of industrial products and services in enterprises selling prices (excluding VAT and excise tax) totaled 21,121 mln. The main budget enterprises of the region The Farm enterprise ‘‘OASIS’’ Enterprise ‘‘ Pervomaysk Quarry Granite’’ The company is the leader among industrial enterprises of the region for more than one year. Nowadays the company has 3 quarries producing gravel and sifting of various factions, stone, rubble, sand.

Agriculture • Industrial activities: • 32basic agricultural enterprises; • 3 state agricultural enterprises; • 210 businesses, including 163 farms. • The main directions of agriculture: • - Crop production(grain production, growing of industrial crops); • Livestock ( pig meat, eggs). • The part of agriculture production of the total area is 73,0 %. 2008 2009 The volume of agriculture production in 2008-2009, mln UAH’.

  11. Leading agricultural enterprises OJSCPidhurievske New progressive technologies in gardening, drip irrigation intensive Holland gardens occupy territory of 44 ha. The profitability is 50-70% Farm Osnova The enterprise has a status of stock seeds farm. Grain and industrial crops efficient manufacturing, 107 workers, annual wheat crop capacity is 50-70 cwt\ha and sunflower crop capacity is 35-40 cwt\ha.

Region experience of investment attraction Main investment sources are enterprise and organization funds (about 60%) Main investment directions are: • mining industry; • reclamation industry; • agriculture. Outside investments: - some investments are made by Kernel company agro-industrial group amounting 68 mln. US dollars for oil-extract plant building.

Investment project entity: Shop building of innovative output production Sukhipelmeniwith no analogs in Ukraine.Due to the new dough processing and meat filling technology people is planned to be provided with delicious and easy-made product. Project creator: Pervomaysk polytechnic institute of Admiral Makarov Shipbuilding National university. General amount of necessary investments:150 thousand US dollars Special-purpose use of the investment means :building / reconstruction of the premises, equipment purchase. Investment project entity- Production of sweet cheese bricks for children Rozhok-tvorozhok Project creator: Pervomaysk polytechnic institute of Admiral Makarov Shipbuilding National university. General amount of necessary investments: 150 thousand US dollars Special-purpose use of the investment means :building / reconstruction of the manufacture shop, equipment purchase. (The project may by realized on the active milk products enterprise. Due to the new producing and packing technology the product is healthy for children and user-friendly.)   17. Investment project entity : Cattle breeding development (Obtaining and keeping 300sows,according to Danish system for breeding and sale cheap and high-pedigree sows. In two years it is planned to receive 10800 healthy and fit for realization piggies at 3 farrows.) Project pay-back period: 8 years Investment project entity : Building of tourist-enterprising and medically-prophilacting complexes Enterprise name : LLC Vidrodzhennia General amount of necessary investments - 5000,0 thousand US dollars Special-purpose use of the investment meansBuilding, furniture and equipment acquirement.

  19. Investment projects Housing and communal services Investment project entity : House building reconstruction of Kinezpil village with the help of the new energy-saving technologies. Project organizer:Kinezpil council General amount of necessary investments :100,0 thousand US dollars Special-purpose use of the investment means : Façade warming, register substitution, solar batteries. The way of obtaining the investments: State and donor funding. Investment project entity– Road reconstruction Project organizer:Dovhoprystan council General amount of necessary investments–210.0 thousand US dollars Special-purpose use of the investment means: Road reconstruction of Dovhaprystan village connecting it with P-06 road. The way of obtaining the investments – State support and donor funding.

  20. Free production areas and plots of land for perspective investment Plots of land : Plot of land selling for commercial utilization (automobile service center) Land spot location point of 0,3 ha located on the territory of Stepkivka council.

  21. Due to the obtained funds we expect: • durable population welfare growth; • working position quantity expansion; • regional infrastructure development; • effective utilization of natural resources potential; • direction of natural and other regional resources to the benefit of Pervomaisk region dwellers and guests; • transformation of the region into an economically self-contained, pollution-free region.
