  6. OVERVIEW OF REGISTRATION PROCESS How to register in centralised ANSN website ? • Visit www.ansn.org which is the URL for centralised ANSN website • Click on the link “Register” on the home page of the website. • User will be redirected to the below page:

  7. OVERVIEW OF REGISTRATION PROCESS How to register in centralised ANSN website ? • User needs to enter their details and an appropriate justification. Justification is vital for the approval of the registration request. • User thereafter clicks on “Next” and is redirected to the screen shown below:

  8. OVERVIEW OF REGISTRATION PROCESS How to register in centralised ANSN website ? • User needs to enter a username and password, of their own choice. • User also needs to enter a security question and answer. This can help the user to retrieve his password in case he forgets it. • User should make a note of his username and password. • Finally user clicks on the “Create User” button and the registration process is complete.

  9. RESPONSIBILITIES AND GUIDELINES FOR SC MEMBERS After the user successfully completes the registration process, two emails are generated automatically: • a confirmation to the user that the request has been sent to the IAEA administrator, as shown below: • a notification to the ANSN administrator in IAEA

  10. RESPONSIBILITIES AND GUIDELINES FOR SC MEMBERS What is the role of SC members in the registration process ? The IAEA administrator forwards the email notification to the respective SC members to seek approval for the registration and request recommendation of relevant roles (Level 1, 2 or/and TG member) to be assigned to the user. Guidelines: • SC members need to identify the user as well as his organization and respond back to IAEA regarding the approval; particularly if the email used during registration by the user is not an official email address. • SC members also need to recommend the appropriate roles to be assigned to the user after reading the justification provided by the user during registration. • If any user cannot be identified (unknown), it is safe not to approve his registration request. • IAEA IT Administrator, approves the registration request as well as assigns relevant roles within 36 hours after receiving response from SC member • Registration requests of users wishing to submit nominations for any ANSN regional events are approved promptly by IAEA administrative staff and assigned Level 2 access, when the user belongs to any partner organizations and the email address in the registration request is an official email address. The IAEA Administrator thereafter seeks approval from SC member.

  11. STATISTICS OF ANSN USER DATABASE Following is the statistics of the ANSN user database in centralised ANSN website:

  12. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How to retrieve a forgotten password ? • Click on the “Forgot Password” link on the home page of centralised ANSN website. The user is prompted to enter the username and answer the secret question entered during registration. • In case the user is not able to answer the secret question correctly, he is left with the only option to register again. But before registering again, the user needs to inform IAEA Administrator to deactivate his previous registration. Then he can use the same official email ID for registration. • Several times, the users send an email to IAEA administrative staff requesting their password. • The password is encrypted and stored in the ANSN database. So even the IAEA Administrator cannot retrieve the password from the database and send to the registered user in case he forgot the password.

  13. Which level of access is the highest level ? As explained before, Level 2 is the highest level of access and the privileges for this access level are mentioned in slide # 3. Why I am not able to submit my nomination online, though I am able to login ? In several cases, the user is able to login but cannot see the “Apply Online” link to submit his nomination for any regional event. The user might have been granted only Level 1 access as suggested by the SC member. IAEA administrative staff needs to advice the user on this as well as consult the SC member whether Level 2 access should be granted to the registered user. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  14. Why I am not able to access centralised ANSN website from national centres websites ? The concept of decentralized network between national centres and centralised ANSN website does not exist. So registered users in national centre websites need to register extra for the centralised ANSN website. I registered in the centralised ANSN website but my registration was not approved saying “User registered already” User who has registered once in the centralised ANSN website should avoid registering again. In case the user is not able to login using his previous credentials, he can email to the IAEA administrators of centralised ANSN website explaining in detail the problem. The IAEA administrator would provide appropriate advice to solve the problem. The IAEA administrator suggests to avoid registration as the process of cleaning duplicate users in the user-database is time consuming and cumbersome. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  15. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS I have forgot my password and I click on the “Forgot Password” link but I receive a prompt saying “User does not exist” • The above problem arises because the user has made more than 3 unsuccessful attempts while entering the password and so his account is locked. • In this case if the user clicks on the “Forgot Password”, the system does not recognize the user. The user should notify the IAEA administrator of this problem • IAEA administrator would unlock the account and thereafter the user can proceed with retrieving his password using “Forgot Password” link. • It is advised not to register again if you have forgot your password or in case of the above problem.
