How might different people understand this message differently? • 4. What values, lifestyles and points of view are represented in, or omitted from, this message? • 5. Why is this message being disseminated (sent) or presented?

YOUR JOB FOR TODAY MATERIALS: • Group list: Your team for today • Job: I will present an advertisement on the board, and together you must identify what persuasion techniques are being utilized. You will have 15 seconds to write down your answer(s) on the white board and hold it up. You should all take turns writing. Follow the order of your names. -I will be your timerI will let you know when time starts and ends • List of techniques: The different techniques are listed for you on the yellow handout. Notice… • Questions: There are questions on the back of your group list. Each of you are responsible for a specific question. After person #1 explains the persuasion techniques that you identified, I will ask the questions that follow.
