  2. Shinobi!!!! • A.K.A. NINJAS!!!! AAHHH!!!!! • Actually ninja’s weren’t originally people that wear dark clothes and go around killing people for no reason with magical abilities • Ninja’s originated in Japan as spies and assassins • They were lower class people unlike there rivals the upper class samurai

Arranged Marriages • It started in India when people chose their children’s partners • They did this because they didn’t want them to marry people in a lower class then them • So this kind of created the upper and lower class system • It’s weird for us to arrange marriages here • But it’s common in Asia

  4. FOOD! • Asia has a vast variety of awesome food. • In Asia they belive that every dish has to have a balance of sweet, salty, bitter, sour, and spicy. • Color is another important this to a dish

Chinese Zodiacs • It was said that there was a race to report to the Jade Emperor • The animals that were in the race were the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig • The rat being the most clever jumped on the ox’s back and leaped off at the last minute and got first place • The pig being the laziest tooka nap and got last place • Each animal represents a month on the year • There was also a cat who jumped on the ox with the rat but the rat really wanted to win so the rat pushed the cat off. That’s why they hate each other

  6. One Child Policy • Haha! The government calls this the “Family planning policy” • This policy limits people to only have one child • Only  35.9% of China’s population actually listens to this rule • The Chinese government introduced the policy in 1979 to help social, economic, and environmental problems • The policy has reduced population growth in the country of 1.3 billion by as much as 300 million people

  7. The Great Wall of China! • The Great Wall of China is 6,000 miles long and more than 2,600 years old • The wall was built by Emperor Qin Shi Huang after the unification of China • It was built to protect his people from invaders.

TajMahul! • The TajMahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan • He built it in memory of this third wife MumtazMahal • Before she died her last wish was "to build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before". • And he did • The construction of TajMahal was started in AD 1631 and completed at the end of 1648 AD

Forbidden City • It is located in the center of Beijing, China • The Forbidden City was built between 1406 and 1420 during the Ming Dynasty • It had been the home for 24 emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties • After the republican revolution the palaces were abandoned in 1924
