    3. Ludlow, Spring 1914 You will be shown a picture of the small English town of Ludlow in the spring of 1914 By clicking on the stars, you will reveal five pictures which will help you to learn about this society For each one, explain what it tells you about life in Ludlow

    12. Task: You are now going to create a character who is living in Ludlow in the spring of 1914 This character can be pretty much anybody you want them to be however they should be male and between the ages of 16 and 30 Complete the Ludlow Parish Census Form

Empathise: You are now going to work with a partner to write a diary entry explaining what happened to your characters during the first week of May, 1914 Think about what two young men may have got up to at this time- their jobs, entertainments and hopes for the future should all feature in your writing You should also try to comment on the weather and the scenery which surrounds you

    14. Homework: Complete your diary entry (minimum one side A4)

    15. Plenary On your mini whiteboard, draw a picture which represents life in Ludlow in the Spring of 1914
