The Debate on Marijuana Legalization in Washington State

This article discusses the current marijuana laws in Washington State, highlighting the penalties for possession, cultivation, and distribution of cannabis. It also explores the proposed Initiative 1068, which sought to legalize marijuana for those over 21 but failed to appear on the ballot due to insufficient signatures. The pros and cons of legalization are examined, including potential economic benefits, protection for medical users, and concerns about youth access and health risks. The future of marijuana use and its impact on society and the economy is also considered.
