  2. Marijuana legalization • The legalization of reefer, a plant that when smoked alters ones senses. • Legalized for medical as well as recreational use.

  3. Well known opinions and facts • Threw a majority of opinion reefer is less addicting then nicotine. • “The most dangerous part of smoking reefer is getting caught and put in prison.”-Marijuana: A Chronic History DVD • This History Special examines the history of marijuana • “When reefer was legalized in Amsterdam, illegal narcotic use was brought down by 80%”-Marijuana: A Chronic History DVD • Many people I know smoke or used to smoke and stay at having well or unwell grades.

  4. Thesis statement • Marijuana legalization is becoming bigger and bigger do to far more allowable use, causing fear and relief.my opinion on this subject is that marijuana should be legal as it is constantly used legal or illegal non the less.

  5. Purposes • Recreational use. • Religious purposes. • Medicinal use.

  6. Became illegal • Marijuana became illegal in the 1920s. • Scared Americans feared the drug do to its use be Latino labor workers and afro jazz musicians. • The media assisted by showing America on the stereotype of what could happen could happen. • A famous movie was known as reefer madness. • Politics also assisted the outlaw buy issuing a Marijuana Tax Act .

  7. legalization • The subject of reefer came again in the 1960s. • Baby boomers, or hippies released the use once more. • The world of medicine is in dire need of medical marijuana. • The use is constant to Americans as a significant number try it every day. • When legalized organized crime will lose significant money.

  8. Conclusion • Reefer, threw my belief, should be legalized because it was wrongfully outlawed. History clearly repeated itself as the illegalization of liquor gave power to organized crime outlawing marijuana does the same effect. Lastly it is clear this herb is a medicine, to religion gateway to another world, and a less addictive and less harmful narcotic then legal drugs.
