  1. Rector of the UniversityDear colleaguesDear students all of you I’m very pleased that the renewal of the Erasmus Intensive Programme has been approved also for this year

  2. and particularly pleased that for its last edition as well as for this year St Mary’s University has given us the opportunity to attend the programme in London, in the marvellous setting of this university college

  3. The campus that hosted our Pope last year, and this year many athletes from everywhere here for the Olympics this Campus is a very lovely place and we’re sure that after this interesting experience most of the participating students will come back to continue their studies here!

  4. But why are you here? You are here thanks to a project that I developped last year and that was approved and co-financed by the Erasmus Agency. What does Intensive Erasmus Programme mean? It is an international programme co-funded by EAgency for few weeks which aims at investigating a challenging topic: inclusion and integration. European students will work all together and produce outputs.

  5. Erasmus programmes give us the chance to meet other European students and teachers, to enhance our cultural knowledge, to work together with other European Universities while living a truly international experience and to strengthen the notion of European citizenship.

  6. Last year the topic was Tourism and Handicap and Social Tourism addressing very important aspects of Tourism, while this year we will discuss about Inclusion and Integration delving also into a delicate subject matter.

  7. Therefore I’m very proud that students were and are able to participate in this programme and provide their own contribution so in the past as today!

  8. But this is also the reason why during the last few years the project was so successful: everyone seemed to be rather impressed with the information provided regarding a matter that had rarely really been touched on.

  9. Studying and investigating such an important topic as Inclusion and racial Integration helps to spread awareness among teachers and students and furthermore to create public awareness concerning the issue, especially if we will be able to produce good results.

  10. Last but not the least I have to thank in advance all Prof. who will help me in this project and who responded very actively in creating new projects.

  11. I have planned different activities for the programme in London and I hope that we can boast a very interesting programme in this city almost as eternal as Rome!

  12. The programme will include. • seminars, • workshops, • Conferences • guided tours • cultural events • in-class lessons.

  13. I’m very proud to coordinate this IP and to be here, and I wish you all a pleasant stay and all the best,

  14. good luck everybody! Enjoy your stay here in London Thank you!
