Stick to the plan but be flexible You cant think of everything! Do your best but know that situations arise that require flexibility on your part to encourage patrons into the school library. Everyone is welcome!
Review and Reflect Periodically review your plan. Is it working? Are your statistics reflecting a growth in usage? Where can you make subtle changes that wont be disruptive to meeting the goals? Be an effective communicator and talk to your staff, and patrons. Is it working for them?
Make adjustments as necessary Sometimes the best intentions just dont work so if patrons are having difficulties, put yourself in their shoes. What would you want to happen to make your visit to the library a pleasant one?
