  4. Who is Telling you to Wait? • Parents • Church • Teachers • Grandparents/family/siblings • Friends • Doctors • Experienced people • Boy/girlfriend • Yourself • Some TV shows, ads, commercials

  5. Can you be sexual without having sex? • More than half of high schoolers WILL NOT have sex in high school. • Think about the big picture, who is influencing are ideas about sex and sexuality. What is it that they are getting from it??? (money) • Those that are telling you to wait, what do they have invested in it? You, and the fact that they care about you.

  6. Where Do you get your information from??? • Choose an ad in a magazine which you think uses sexuality to sell their product. • Write an essay explaining the following parts. • What is the product they are selling? • Who receives the proceeds from this ad? • What is the message that they are trying to tell you? • What haven’t they told you about the product? • Whose point of view is this message? • Is the message true?
