  2. Elementary Math Work – Spring 2013 “I will be a 3rd grade teacher this year in DMPS. This will be my first year teaching math in 11 years so I am unable to answer your math questions.” “I will be teaching kindergarten this year after being in Sped for the last 6 years.  I don’t know anything about the math curriculum.  The teacher I have replaced retired.  I’m not sure what things I should have.Thanks in advance for any  guidance you can give me.”

  7. Lessons from Implementing Common Core at the Middle School Level • Tightly Spiraled to a Focused Curriculum • Math Concepts have moved down grade levels • Students are missing concepts due to their jump and the shift of math concepts
