  3. U.S. Flag The American Flag shows our culture and history. The fifty stars represent the fifty states and the 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies.

  5. Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance (loyalty) to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  12. Capitol Building The U.S. Capitol is also located in Washington, D.C. It is where Congress meets.
