  1. How Simple are Simple Machines?

  2. What are Simple Machines? How Simple are They? -Machines helps us lessen the amount of effort or work we use, and also to increase our ability to lift or move objects. Simple machines make our work easier by enabling us to use less work to move an object. Often several simple machines are combined in complex machines.

  3. Levers The lever is a bar that turns on a point called a fulcrum. The secret of the lever is the increased distance over which the force moves, i.e., the arm length of the lever, which is determined by the position of the fulcrum (pivot). It is the same principle as the inclined plane - the greater the distance over which the force must be applied, the smaller the force required to do the work (lift the load). Example:

  4. Incline Planes A ramp (inclined plane), helps us to move heavy objects more easily, but we have to move them further to complete the task. We use less force, however, we have to apply the force over a greater distance. Friction is one problem encountered in using a ramp to move heavy objects.

  5. Wedges • A wedge looks like an inclined plane but it works differently. • It can hold things together, for example in a doorstop or nail • It also can split things apart, for example an axe or chisel. Other wedges include scissors, knives and screwdrivers. • Wedges have sharp edges at somewhere in a device.

  6. Screw • A screw is an inclined plane that looks like nail. However, it has a thing like a sting around it. • This string cut a hole in the wood as you turn the screw, making it hold tightly. • To remove a screw you have to turn in the opposite direction with a screwdriver. Screws with less distance between the threads are easier to turn. • For example; cork screw, light bulb, jar lid and more.

  7. Wheel and Axle • A wheel and axle is a lever that is able to rotate through a complete circle (360◦). • The circle turned by the wheel is much larger than the circle turned by the axle. • The wheel turns in a more powerful force on the axle, which moves a shorter distance. • For example - the steering wheel, screwdriver, faucet handle and wrench.

  8. Pulley • Pulleys are wheels with string to pull. The pulley turns as a string moves over the wheel and a load is raised as the string is pulled. • A fixed pulley makes work easier by changing the direction of the applied force. With it, the force required to lift the load remains the same as lifting it by hand, but it is easier to raise a flag from the ground. • With a moveable pulley , both the load and the pulley move. It allows you to use less force to raise an object. The amount of force depends on the number of supporting ropes. The more pulleys and supporting ropes, the smaller the force required.

  9. Gears, or wheels and axle!!@$# Here are some screws ->->->Everyday life Boys&Girls. Different kinds Of Screws For U!! What do you see Dude? These are 2 examples of Wheels and axles

  10. Pulleys and levers Cool isn’t it? I like it.. Don’t u??

  11. Inclined plane, wedges I'm getting hungry… “Lets see what we Have in the fridge” Do u know that Refrigerators have Wedges?? Wow!! The inclined- Planes seem to Be sliding. Cool!!

  12. Something kind of cool for you!! For more information, please ask a teacher or you may Read books. All this information is from education. We Hope you’ve learned a lot. We have done our best in this. Thank you for listening!! Trium, Knight, and Narin!! Trium, Knight, and Narin If you have some important Questions.. Knock on the 5-4 door or es507
