  1. The amazing bridge project. By James ,Kye ,and Tabitha.

  2. The first thing we did was go on a river trip (across the river Dart). We saw lots of wildlife and the river was beautiful. It was so much fun.

  3. Secondly, we read a letter from the council and they said that we had to investigate the possibilities of building a bridge across the river Dart.

  4. After, we had to make a questionnaire so we could ask the public in Kingswear and Dartmouth if they wanted a bridge or not.

  5. Then we went to Kingswear and Dartmouth and asked the public if they wanted a bridge or not, most of them said yes, the questions were simple, the questions were like these ones, should it be a toll bridge? do you want a bridge?

  6. When we came back, we researched different types of bridges, for example, bascule bridges and arch bridges.

  7. After, it was time to do maths, so we sorted the data out and put it into tally charts so it was easier to look at the answers.

  8. Then, we had to put the informationinto different graphs and charts to show off how clever we are, and to display the data. Then we had to create a success criteria.

  9. We went to the higher-ferry to see if we could build a bridge there.

  10. Next, we had to sketch Dartmouth on an A3 piece of paper and a bridge on a different piece of A3 paper.

  11. Then, we were given a piece of A4 paper to make a plan on how to build a bridge out of different materials such as cardboard and string.

  12. After that, we were put into pairs or groups and then miss Raddon got the materials so we could start building.
