How A Hurricane Forms • They only form when the warm ocean water is 80 f or warmer. • The air has to have to cool off very quickly the higher you go. • Also the wind must be blowing at least in the same direction and the same speed to form air upward from the ocean surface. • Winds will flow outward to above the storm allowing the air below to come up. • The Coriolis Force is needed to create the spin that came in the hurricane and it becomes to weak near the equator , so hurricanes can form there.

  3. Tips On How To Be Safe During A Hurricane • First get snacks,blanket & pillow. • Next go to a safe room and don’t get scared if the light flickers or goes out. • Don’t leave the house it’s safer inside. • Make sure you have plenty of food also make sure you have toys. • Don’t try to call someone it won’t work and you could get hurt.
