Música barroca • A Itália é berço do Barroco. • A palavra Barroco é provavelmente de origem portuguesa (barroca = terreno irregular), significa pérola ou jóia de formato irregular. • Na música, o Barroco decorre entre o aparecimento da ópera (c. 1600) e a morte de J. S. Bach (1750). • A música barroca é geralmente exuberante: ritmos enérgicos, melodias com muitos ornamentos, contrastes de timbres instrumentais e de sonoridades fortes com suaves.
