  2. Occupational Overuse Syndrome (OOS) • Occupational Overuse syndrome is discomfort or pain in certain muscle, tendons and other soft tissues. • In includes swelling, numbness, restricted movement, and weakness around muscles.

  3. Eye Strain • Eye Strain is pain or fatigue in the eyes. Headaches usually follow when eye strain is applied. • It causes lost of eye vision or an imbalance of the eye muscle.

  4. Repetitive Stress • Repetitive Stress injury is when a bone, muscle, and tendon repeatedly hurts in the same body part. • Causes poor posture and repetitive motion.

  5. What is Ergonomics? • Ergonomics is a science that forms equipment to make working on computers more comfortable and worker friendly. • Ergonomics comes from the Greek words ergon (work) and nomos (law)

  6. OOS Treatment • The way to prevent Occupational Overuse Syndrome is exercise and stretching, postural correction, pain relieving and pain medications.

  7. Eye Strain Prevention • To prevent eye strain you can wear computer glasses that prevent eye strain. You can also use a anti-glare screen protector.

  8. Repetitive Stress Prevention • The way to prevent repetitive stress injury is to take breaks regularly from using a computer or a phone and get a good grip.
