Curriculum and Instruction Concept Statement The mission of the Curriculum and Instruction Division is to provide leadership and service to facilitate continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning in SAISD, In a way that: • Addresses the needs of all students for the 21st Century • Provides support to school personnel • Deepens the conceptual understanding of curriculum and content knowledge • Models research-based best practices • Builds the capacity of staff to be more effective • Assures ongoing interdepartmental planning, collaboration, and communication • Provides sustained long-term professional learning for all employees so that students and educators in the SAISD community achieve success and represent a model of exemplary education.
