Mrs. Watts' Class Newsletter: August 25 – August 29

This week in Mrs. Watts' class, we are focused on building and spelling CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. Students will learn to change the first letter to form new words. Key words to spell by Friday include: cat, rug, wig, pet, mop, tag, lip, fun, cob, and beg. Our reading skills focus on improving reading stamina during independent reading. Homework sheets are in the Daily Binder and are due on Friday, August 29. In math, we are exploring tally marks and counting. Social Studies will cover rules and laws, while Science will differentiate between living and nonliving things.
