  2. The dolphin fish is known by many names! In Hawaiian it's Mahi-Mahi, Lampuka in Maltese, and other names such as Rakingo, Maverikos, Dorado and Calitos It is widely distributed across the world’s waters, and can be found throughout the Indian, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans More About Mahi Mahi

  3. The Mahi Mahi fish is the fastest-growing wild fish species known to man! Mahi can grow from 1.3 to 2.7 inches just in a week. Which roughly means, it can grow to 4 feet long & could be as heavy as 40 pounds, in an year!! 1.3 to 2.7 inches in a week

  4. The rate of growth and the growth limit depends on the gender! Males grow faster & bigger than females. Studies have shown that females rarely go over 40 pounds while males can grow to as much as 60 pounds!! Female Male 60 pounds 40 pounds How do they Reproduce so Quickly?

  5. Mahi Mahi can be sexually mature as early as 3 months, or at 14 inches long! In general, though, the young become sexually mature by the time they reach 22 inches in fork length. (That's why its population has never been endangered) And because it need to feed for growth, the dolphinfish is known to be an aggressive predator!!
