  2. Habitat • Dolphins can be found all around the world some live near the shore others far out to sea

  3. Size • Dolphins grow to just over 3 meters long

  4. Appearance • Dolphins have dark blue-grey to brown-grey skin they have a long beak shaped nose , a dorsal fin , two flippers and a large tail

  5. Food • Dolphins hunt for food near the surface of the eat fish and squid

  6. young • A female dolphins has to carry her baby (calf) for 11-12 months. The newborn calf is capable of swimming and breathing within the first minutes.

  7. Interesting • Dolphins are very intelligent animals and can live up to 25 years.
