  1. Manufacturing Safety | Manufacturing Day

  2. Manufacturing is at the heart of everything we do. Without understanding how to manufacture things, we would not have all the bountiful pleasures and supplies we are able to enjoy. Basic orientation plus is a course that helps keep people safe when they are manufacturing things. We also celebrate manufacturing day to showcase all the amazing achievements that have come to our world through being smart and being able to manufacture things. The world would be a lot different without the ability to mass manufacture things in factories. In fact, before we had factories where we mass manufactured goods, most items would only be purchased by the ultra-wealthy. There weren’t enough supplies that everyone could afford it. Most workers also needed decades of experience before they could create anything for themselves. The invention of machine tools and mass manufacturing changed all of that.

  3. Manufacturing Day With how important manufacturing is, we needed a day to celebrate it. Manufacturing day is such a time where we are able to sit down and think about all the amazing things that mass manufacturing has done. This holiday usually takes place on the first Friday every October. It is an amazing they filled with a lot of demonstrations and other people showcasing wonderful manufacturing inventions. Without them, the world would not be the same place. The world we have today is built up on mass manufacturing and as we learn more, we are able to manufacture more goods using mass manufacturing methodology. For example, plastics and glass are now becoming more widespread because we are able to mass manufacture them. We are also able to mass manufacture things like metals and other materials.

  4. Basic Orientation Plus Training is really important for everyone. Every worker should have a basic understanding of shop safety so they don’t get hurt. Basic orientation plus provides that training and helps your workers stay away from danger. It provides them the necessary procedures to follow in case there are any problems. By focusing on safety, you save lives and the people on the jobsite are more comfortable and confident to execute what they have to do so you end up with better results. Without safety, we would not have the workplace we do today. A few hundred years ago most workplaces would be very unsafe and that led to mass strikes and worker protests. The safer you get things, the better your workers feel and the better it is for everyone.
