  5. College Options • Attend UNC Schools • Private Colleges/ Universities • Proprietary Schools and Online Programs • Online Programs from Mexico • Return to Your Country of Origin

  6. GOOD REASONS Admit all NC students, including undocumented students STOP AND THINK Out of state tuition: $7,000 to $8,000 per semester Room and Board Extra Attend UNC Schools

  12. Scholarship Options • Research online • Ask about local scholarships in your school counseling office. • Check citizenship requirements • Apply for as many as possible

  13. DREAM Act • Allows states to charge in-state tuition for undocumented students • Provides a path to citizenship! • Supported by President Obama • Introduced in Congress, but failed.

  14. Advocate with Adelante • Join us for lobby days at the General Assembly • Write a letter to the editor • Sign petition to allow ALL NC high school graduates to attend our community colleges • Join the NC Dream Team • Get creative! Get active!
